​Membership of the Association  -  Membership part of the Constitution


Full membership shall be open to all those qualified and

have been employed in the profession of Education

(teachers, lecturers, nursery nurses and 
0thers

deemed qualified for membership by the Executive

Committee) and their partners who are retired, partially
 
retired or approaching retirement are also eligible to join

as full members.  All full members will have voting rights

and are eligible for election to the Executive Committee.

Friends of members may join as Associate Members with

no voting rights and will not be eligible for election to the

Executive Committee.

​We are an association of Retired Teachers, Lecturers and we have just

opened our membership to all who are qualified and have been

employed in the profession of Education (teachers, lecturers, nursery

nurses and others deemed qualified for membership by the Executive

Committee) and their partners who are retired, partially retired or

approaching retirement. All   members will have voting rights and are 

eligible for election to the Executive Committee.  Friends of members

may join as Associate members with no voting rights and will not be 

eligible for election to the Executive Committee.

There are approximately50/60 members. 


We meet every second Monday of the month (except July and August) at

Broadway United Reformed Church, WS5 3PH,at 2.00pm.


The yearly membership fee is £20, this includes tea/coffee, biscuits and a

​ free raffle



We organise monthly speakers, outings and social events relevant to our​

members' interests.  Our AGM has a 'scone tea' as part of the meeting

which always encourages attendance!! There is a Christmas buffet

with entertainment at our December monthly meeting and is well

attended - always a good spread!



We help to support local charities and we try to have fun!

members on the door, they will welcome you and introduce you to others.



​We hope to welcome you to our social and cultural activities.



 Walsall NEU - National Education Union - are kind enough to

provide help​ with printing and distribution of leaflets to schools.
